Overview of HB 4401- How To Efficiently Implement The Law
The Oregon legislature has passed another eviction extension bill, HB 4401, that went into effect on January 1, 2021. For landlords, the most important pieces of this bill is the push back of the date evicting tenants for nonpayment of rent can begin and a new relief fund for unpaid rent amounts. The former basically restricts evictions for most no cause notices as well as nonpayment of rent. The latter provides landlords with an avenue to collect on unpaid rents through a $200,000,000 grant. This training will break down the specifics of the bill and how to efficiently implement the different pieces of it.
